New York’s City Park Foundation has kicked off its annual SummerStage series. Yesterday’s (June 5) showcase featured one of hip-hop’s most celebrated artists. Rakim was the main event at the showcase’s free concert in Brooklyn’s Red Hook Park. With fans young and old turning out in droves to catch the microphone fiend live in action, Ra didn’t disappoint and the rhymer had the borough rocking as the sun went down over the city.
