There are some individuals in this world who don’t deserve the right to procreate. A couple in Jackson, Mich., fall into that category.
According to reports by MLIVE, a man, whose name has yet to be revealed to protect the victim, raped his 3-year-old stepdaughter at least six times. The case gets more disturbing as it was discovered that the child’s mother assisted in the crimes. The man told authorities that his wife held the child’s hands as he attempted to have sex with the 3-year-old.
The couple also admitted to having sex together and watching porn while the child remained in the same room. They also took explicit photos of the child. Child Protective Services in Jackson were notified of the girl’s sexualized behavior in May. The child would hump her toy animals and once asked her brother to have sex.
The girl, and her 5- and 8-year-old brothers, were taken from the couple and sent to a foster home. On June 6, the man was arrested and charged with several counts of criminal sexual misconduct. The mother has yet to be charged with a crime, but she could face charges in the near future.
This serves as a reminder for teachers and guardians to know the signs that are exhibited by sexually abused children. Lives can be saved by being proactive, being observant and speaking with children about what they are experiencing at home.
