‘Man of Steel’ movie review

Man of Steel
Stars: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne

Clark Kent, aka Kal-El, aka Superman, aka the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) sheds his mild-mannered bookish persona to kick some serious butt as his alter ego. Jor-El’s son (Russell Crowe) has to come to terms with his alien origins (and we don’t mean immigrant), when his compatriots attack his new home, Earth. Amy Adams plays Lois Lane, Kent’s colleague at the Daily Planet, and she’s still clueless about the connection between the nerdy Clark Kent and the dashing caped crusader.

The battle scenes are spectacular and well worth the added cost of seeing it in 3-D. –p.d. lee
