What transpired on the night that you were shot?
I was walking home from a nightclub when four or five dudes opened fire on me. I fired back killing one of the guys and wounding another, but I got hit in the back.
What made you want to relive the assault in a song?
First off I’m lucky to be alive, and what better way to celebrate that than to drop another banger for my fans? I want to let my fans know the real issues that I’m facing and the strength that I gained from a negative situation. Plus, having taken one in the back, what would make a better title for my new banger than “Plug.”
Who will you be working with on the upcoming project?
Of course my partner-in-rhyme and CTE affiliate, Boo Rossini, will be on the song “Plug” and we also have our first full collaborative project “Mano Mano” which is set to drop on June 25. I also have a remix to “Plug” coming out with some of Houston’s most notable trap rappers and the new single “Faded” with Big K.R.I.T.
