‘A Family Affair’ book review

National bestselling author, ReShonda Tate Billingsley has written over 26 books, and stopping is nowhere in her near future.  Billingsley’s most recent novel “A Family Affair”, due out July 30, 2013 is yet another brilliant piece from this gifted author.

Olivia Dawson has seen her mother struggle throughout her entire life.  She was constantly working day in/day out to provide a somewhat stable life for them.  Although the quality time they had together was practically nonexistent, the love and joy they shared between them was uncanny and not easily broken.  Olivia is a stellar student and blessed with the dancing expertise that would guarantee her a prominent future.  When Olivia is accepted into the school of Julliard, she’s heartbroken with the realization that her mom cannot afford to pay for tuition.  Lorraine cannot let her daughter’s dream lie dormant without doing everything she possibly can to see her blossom, and decides to face her past head on.
