Actors Lance Gross, Michael B. Jordan and Octavia Spencer graced the red carpet on Monday evening for the premiere of Fruitvale Station at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in Los Angeles during the 2013 Los Angeles Film Festival on June 17, 2013.
Fruitvale Station is a true story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old Bay Area resident who wakes up on the morning of December 31, 2008, his mother’s birthday, and resolves to be a better son, father and boyfriend. His final encounter after witnessing the arrival of the the New Year come is with police officers at the Fruitvale BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station where he loses his life in the presence of hundreds of witnesses.
