Summer Hoedown
Ingredients:
- 1 (6-pound) seedless watermelon, rind removed and cut into large dice
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup maraschino liqueur
- 4 (12-ounce) bottles white beer chilled
Method:
Using a blender add in the large pieces of watermelon and blend until liquified. With a strainer pour the blended watermelon into a pitcher until only the pulp remains in the strainer. You should have about 6 cups of juice, discard the pulp in the strainer that is left over. Repeat this step until you have used all the watermelon. Add the sugar to the juice and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until chilled for about half an hour.
Take the pitcher of watermelon out and combine the maraschino liqueur and beer. Gently stir. Now it is ready to serve.
