It’s safe to say that no one had a worse week than Paula Deen did last week. After news reports revealed that Deen used the N-word and spoke fondly of the racist South in her past, Deen was fired from the Food Network after 11 years with the network. It now appears that Deen may be receiving another pink slip.
For years, Paula Deen has sold her own line of cookware through the home shopping giant QVC. According to TMZ, QVC is none too pleased with Deen’s ongoing controversy and they’re considering dropping her from her contract.
A rep for the network told TMZ that they “have concerns over the unfortunate Paula Deen situation. Please know that QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior.”
“We are closely monitoring these events and reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen. In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC,” the rep added.
It appears that Deen’s days at QVC really are numbered. She’s not the only one who’s lost major deals over controversy. Check out some other cases of lost business deals below. – nicholas robinson
