Stars: Aubrey Plaza, Johnny Simmons, Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat
Brandy Clark (newcomer Aubrey Plaza) is the valedictorian of her high school, so her brainpower is not in question. Her social skills, on the other hand, have taken a backseat to her academic exploits, and rightfully so. But after being heckled while giving her speech at graduation to “get off the stage, virgin,” Brandy decides to remedy the situation by taking a methodical approach to cramming all the experiences she missed out on in high school into the few short weeks before she starts college. And hence, the to-do list. This is a lighthearted coming-of-age film that touches on everything that makes being young, fun, awkward, painful, fun and maddening as the protagonist lurches into adulthood. –p.d. lee
