Vince Young was once a promising quarterback who captured the Rookie of the Year title as a Tennessee Titan in 2006. However, seven years later, Young has bounced around from different teams and has yet to sign with an NFL ball club.

Without steady income, Young has struggled to maintain financially. Although he earned $34 million during his career and another $30 mil through endorsements, there are reports that Young is currently broke.

On July 22, police constables in Texas went into Young’s home and took items that could be valuable for an upcoming auction. The items will be auctioned by court to settle Young’s $1.7 million debt to Pro Player Funding.

During the NFL lockout of 2011, Young took the high-risk loan from Pro Player Funding. However, the loan shark company, had interest rates of 20 percent to that of 34 percent.

Young attempted to get his Pro Player Funding’s debt cancelled because he believed that his former agent tricked him into the loan. However, a court ruled against Young and he was forced to repay the ridiculous sum.

Young will only get to keep $60,000 worth of possessions. The rest will be taken for auction.
