This Disney animated film is not a product of Pixar Studios, which is odd considering that Disney owns Pixar, and Pixar is head and shoulders above anyone doing animation right now. So Disney must be counting on the storyline resonating with the audience, thereby reducing the need for whiz-bang imagery. Not that the animation is bad, but we can’t help wondering what it could have looked like. Still, little ones will easily relate to Dusty, a crop-dusting plane whose acrophobia is a serious obstacle to his desire to compete in a flying competition. Forget the competition, we’re wondering how he can perform his day job … –p.d. lee
