Frank Ocean may have decided to make peace with Chris Brown over their infamous parking lot brawl, but it looks like Ocean’s cousin isn’t at all ready to throw up the white flag. A new report claims that Ocean’s cousin is now suing Brown for getting beat up during the brawl.
According to CBS Los Angeles, Sha’Keir Duarte recently filed a complaint in the Los Angeles Superior Court for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and conspiracy to commit battery against Brown.
Duarte claims that he was with Ocean on Jan. 27 when the Channel Orange singer arrived at the Westlake Recording Studios and discovered Brown’s car in Ocean’s parking spot. When Brown left his recording session and came outside, Ocean asked him why he’d taken his spot. Duarte asked the same thing and explains that Brown, a man named “Hood,” and two other men inched closer to him.
Duarte claims that “Hood” then punched him as Brown called him a “n—–l” and egged “Hood” on. Duarte alleges that “Hood” proceeded to kick him 12 times and that Brown yelled, “You just got your (expletive) beat and it’s on camera.”
According to court papers, Duarte also claims that “Hood” told him, “If you want to bust, we can bust.”
However, Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, has already responded to the suit, claiming that it’s “pathetic.”
“It will be dismissed and we will seek sanctions against those involved,” he said.
