Perez has been largely criticized for his previous attempts at outing stars like Lance Bass and Neil Patrick Harris. Perez has also often been embroiled in beefs with many of the stars he covers on his site. He was punched in the eye over a beef with wil.i.am and most recently he beefed with Azealia Banks, who is bisexual, over the use of the gay slur “f—-t” and now Lady Gaga, who claims that Perez privately made fun of her hip injury and is stalking her to pry into her personal life.
