Ashley King and Ty Lawson arrested
A pregnant reality star and her NBA player boyfriend were recently arrested following a domestic violence incident. Ashley King, real name Ashley Pettiford, was arrested this week after she told authorities that her Denver Nuggets boyfriend Ty Lawson shoved her.
According to authorities, Pettiford and Lawson were arguing over a phone conversation he had with another woman when things escalated. Pettiford said she attempted to pack her things to leave Lawson but the NBA player stopped her and pushed her onto the bed. She then grabbed his phone and threw it, breaking it. Lawson retaliated by grabbing her phone and dunking it under water.
Pettiford who is six months pregnant, was arrested for criminal mischief while her boyfriend was placed under arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief and harassment.
The couple has since been released.
