Police have arrested 29-year-old James Patrick Tadros for beating and nearly killing a 9-year-old girl in a Best Buy store in Jacksonville, Fla.
Tadros lured the girl into the women’s bathroom of a Jacksonville Best Buy where he then punched, kicked her and put a plastic bag over her head while holding her down in the toilet. Thankfully, a brave customer who heard the girl screaming as she entered the restroom reacted quickly by calling employees and police.
Police and Best Buy employees are calling the attack as an isolated, random incident as the girl told them she did not know the man.
The girl is being treated at the University of Florida Health hospital.
James Patrick Tadros is being charged with attempted murder for his actions on Friday.
Police are also questioning where the parents of the young girl were and how she could be taken into the restroom without them knowing her whereabouts.
This unfortunate event should remind parents to never allow their children to roam through stores alone. You never know what type of sick-minded people are in the stores ready to prey on innocent children.
