A group of peaceful black friends were faced with racial discrimination at a restaurant in South Carolina. According to the Daily Mail, Michael Brown and 24 of his friends were having a going away celebration at Wild Wing Cafe when they were asked to leave the establishment. They were told by an employee that a white customer felt threatened by the group.
Brown and his friends were humiliated and outraged after waiting two hours for a table. Brown called Wild Wing Cafe’s corporate headquarters and told them about the incident. However, the establishment never responded.
Brown decided to post his side of the story on Facebook and it instantly went viral. He urged readers against supporting the establishment. The post has been shared over 3,000 times.
Once the post went viral, a representative from Wild Wing Cafe finally called Brown. However, they only offered Brown a free meal. Brown and his friends are not satisfied by the offer.
The employee who forced Brown and his friends to leave has not been reprimanded.
