Temperatures and energy ran high at the Guinness Live It Up Festival. Crowds packed into the Fort Greene venue to enjoy photography and art exhibits, Guinness inspired beverages and most importantly kick off the Labor Day weekend with a boom.
The multi-leveled venue had celebrated DJs Nikki Z and DJ Commish spinning, keeping the folks live in different rooms. The backyard hosted cuisine from Footprints, Kombit and Melanie’s restaurants, with a fresh juicer serving fruit combinations.
Celebrity guests included Malik Yoba and TV personality and comedienne Amanda “Diva” Seales.
Reggae artist Cham, better known by the name Baby Cham, closed the night out with an electrifying performance, playing both vintage and popular songs. Cham responded to the audience as if each member had lived through his “real ghetto story” with him.
Guinness made sure to have a little something to appeal to everyone from the foodie to the culture buffs. Leaving the venue, guests were pleasantly greeted with a free single trip metrocard. Libations, high energy and a free ride home. What more could you ask for?
