Philadelphia radio host E. Steven Collins dies
The Philadelphia Music Alliance has confirmed that host E. Steven Collins passed away Monday from a heart attack.
“E. Steven Collins has been a friend and longtime supporter of the PMA for a number of years, and has hosted several of our most recent induction ceremonies along the Avenue of the Arts,” said Joseph Tarsia, chairman of the Philadelphia Music Alliance. “He was always a positive influence, and his distinguished presence was a perfect fit for the honors we bestow. Next month’s Walk of Fame ceremony, and all future inductions, certainly won’t be the same without him. This is a great loss for Philadelphia’s cultural community.”
Collins served as Radio One’s director of urban marketing and external relations and the host of his weekly show, Philly Speaks on Old School 100.3
He was 58.
