New Jersey’s tourist attraction Seaside Heights has been through the most this past year. After facing shame for hosting MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and rebuilding after Hurricane Sandy, the legendary boardwalk was recently hit with a fire that destroyed about 50 businesses within minutes.
About 95 percent of the blaze was contained by Friday morning, but the buildings are expected to continue to smolder for the rest of the weekend. Gov. Chris Christie and many of the business owners are very optimistic and promise to rebuild Seaside’s boardwalk.
Take a look at some of the photos of the aftermath.
