A 7-year-old girl broke her arm at her school and it was treated with ice cream sandwiches. According to reports by MyFox Detroit, Shatia Hill was playing on the monkey bars when she fell and injured herself at Webber Media Arts Academy in Pontiac, Michigan.

Shatia informed teachers of her injury, but they did not take the girl to a school nurse or call the paramedics. Instead, they sent her to the school’s office and gave her ice cream sandwiches to treat her pain. The school said that ice was not available.

The school eventually called Shatia’s aunt who rushed the girl to the hospital. Once the girl was seen by doctors, it was determined that her arm was broken.

Hill’s mother called the school for answers, but administrators have yet to take responsibility for their actions. The school board is currently investigating.

Shatia’s mother has since removed her from the school.
