Teyana Taylor’s Adidas endorsement in jeopardy?
Could a nasty Twitter beef cause the end of an endorsement for a Harlem singer? That’s the question that’s being asked about Teyana Taylor after the G.O.O.D. Music artist blasted Rihanna relentlessly Tuesday.
As previously reported, things between the two stars heated up after Rih seemingly made fun of Taylor’s singing skills. Taylor then lashed out at the songstress and her assistant, Melissa Forde with drug allegations and threats of physical violence.
And while the majority of fans chuckled at the stars’ war of words, others thought Taylor took things too far after she referenced Rihanna’s domestic violence incident with Chris Brown.
Sometime during their battle, Rihanna posted a picture showing her $90 million net worth compared to Taylor’s $500,000. Taylor then retaliated by using a picture of the singer’s battered face as her Twitter header.
She also tweeted about the singer having a history of “pressing charges.”
A petition has since been formed to have adidas drop Taylor as a client. The singer, who previously released sneakers with the brand in February, is promoting her “Diary of a Dark Knight” shoes that will hit stores Nov. 29.
A portion of the petition reads, “[She] pokes fun at domestic violence, is a violent person towards others, and should not be the face of this company.”
So far the document has over 1,000 signatures and counting.
