The BET Hip Hop Awards did not facilitate your ordinary red carpet. First of all, this one was green. Secondly, there were some chic outfits and a few scintillating gowns. But it was also where “ratchetedness” ruled, replete with homemade dresses and pieces of fabric that performed the role of pasties.
