Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake and so did Twitter

There is something that rankles many hip-hop heads about rapper and crooner Drake. When did Drake become the Lionel Richie of rap?

Rap fans seem to take sadistic pleasure in assailing the Canadian-born musician at every opportunity for his penchant for churning out sensitive and “soft” lyrics ever since he exploded on the scene with the Grammy-nominated smash “You the Best.”

Add Kendrick Lamar to that list. This is the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher released that had Twitter aflame:


“Yeah… and nothing’s been the same since they dropped “Control”/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/ Ha-ha jokes on you, high-five… I’m bulletproof/ Your sh*ts a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey boy you been a fake…”

So when hip hop star Kendrick Lamar put Drake on full blast, many of his fans took to Twitter to get a few licks on Drizzy, though a few brave souls took up for Drake.Take a look at what they had to say:
