Rihanna’s new hand tattoo

After already tagging herself with a rumored 19 tattoos, Rihanna is showing off her latest ink. The songstress with an obvious penchant for body modification recently visited New Zealand for a performance on her “Diamonds” world tour. While there she visited with famed tattooist Inia Taylor and Tiki Taane of MokoInk and had a traditional maori tattoo inked across her hand.

Maori or Moko tattoos are the traditional body art of the indigenous people of New Zealand. Instead of using electric tools like other tattooists, artists like Inia Taylor who specialize in Moko use chisels.

Shortly after Rihanna visited the shop the artists shared a photo and video of the songster going through the seemingly painful procedure.

Just last year “Bad Girl Ri Ri” had a falcon tattooed across her foot and prior to that made headlines when she had “Thug Life” etched across her knuckles in pink ink.

Just months later she got her arguably most memorable tattoo however; the Egyptian goddess Isis on her rib cage, right below her breasts.
