Hampton homecoming parade
Over the weekend Hamptonians and local residents took to the streets to watch the sights and sounds of the 2013 homecoming parade. Included in this year’s march through downtown Hampton were various churches, high schools and social groups.
Floats included an intricate birthday cake to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Hampton University’s College of Virginia Beach as well as a design from the Student Government Association, Miss Hampton University and the Greer Dawson Wilson Student Leadership program.
Hampton University’s marching band the Marching Force completed the trek alongside dancers Ebony Fire and the university’s Blue Thunder cheerleaders.
