On Oct. 3,2013, the Avenue of Fashion in Detroit welcomed a new cutting-edge graphics design firm, Bravo Graphix. Their grand opening and official ribbon-cutting ceremony was a great success. The business is owned and run by Faren Young and Priest Price, both natives of Detroit.
Why did the two of you decide to start Bravo Graphix?
Faren Young: We decided to start Bravo Graphix because we wanted to better our community. By me being a graphic design artist and and interior designer, it was something that came naturally to me. My partner [Priest] has 13 years of customer service experience so when we teamed up, it was something that just snapped into action. It was magical.
What types of services will Bravo offer to the Livernois community?
Priest Price: We offer excellent community service! We have a white room here on-site to where we are able to offer consulting. We also customize banners, billboards and websites”.
Young: We offer a full range of [services], including model photography and full printing services are available as well. We are equipped with multicultural services such as translation for different ethnicities on site as well.
Why did you choose to set up shop in the Livernois Avenue community?
Young: “Well, Livernois Avenue is a historic district that includes the Avenue of Fashion where we are actually located. It was a no- brainer for us because we are locals of the area and the area itself is centrally located between the east and west territories of Detroit. We wanted to contribute to the growth of the area as well. You dream it, we design it!
