Bad Grandpa

An octogenarian takes his wisenheimer 8-year-old grandson along on a trip across America. Johnny Knoxville — who by they way, is not 86, although his sidekick Billy, (Jackson Nicoll) presumably is 8 or thereabouts — is the bad grandpa of the film’s title. Sacha Baron Cohen already proved in Borat that turning a camera on the unsuspecting public and making them part of your movie can rake in the dough and the laughs, and this is the same set up. This grandpa is certainly very naughty, but this film will elicit laughs despite some cringe-worthy scenes. –p.d. lee
