The Boston Reds have won the 2013 World Series. The Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 6-1 and taking the series 4-2.

The Red Sox were led by slugger David Ortiz who walked away as the MVP by hitting two home runs and knocking in six RBIs.

It’s the second time the Red Sox defeated the Cardinals in the World Series. The Red Sox swept the Cardinals in 2004 when superstitious fans believed that the “Curse of the Bambino” was broken after an 86-year absence from the World Series.
