The “Curse of the Bambino?” What curse?
After going nearly 90 years between World Series titles, the Boston Red Sox have now won their third baseball championship in the last 10 years with a route of the St. Louis Cardinals and rendering the fabled “curse” of former Red Sox legend Babe Ruth a distant memory.
After David Ortiz and the rest of the Red Sox easily dispatched the Cardinals 8-1 to wrap up the Series 4 games to 2, fans and celebrities spilled into the streets of New England’s flagship city and onto social media for a spontaneous mass celebration.
