A 43-year-old model who resides in the SOHO section of New York is suing her ex-boyfriend who she claims gave her herpes.
According to the New York Post, the woman dated businessman William Lerner, 57, for several months after the two met at an art gallery in 2012. Lerner, who owns Imperial Parking Systems, began buying the woman expensive gifts and taking her on luxurious vacations. During the beginning of their relationship, the woman said they used condoms while having sex.
However, she claims that Lerner convinced her to have unprotected sex after telling her that he was free of any STD. But several days after having unprotected sex with Lerner, the woman experienced a herpes outbreak. After going to the doctor, she discovered that she was exposed to the virus.
The woman contacted Lerner and he agreed to pay $700 in medical expenses. But the woman wanted more and decided to sue her former lover for $5 million. Lerner has yet to release a statement regarding the lawsuit.
