Adidas unveils ‘BIG Logo’ uniforms for Christmas Day NBA games

Due to the success of the 2012 NBA “BIG Color” holiday campaign, the National Basketball Association has announced that they will continue the BIG Holiday tradition this Christmas. As part of the new “BIG Logo” campaign, adidas will unveil new uniforms featuring new warm-up jackets and shooting shirts displaying bold print graphics inspired by knit holiday sweaters that each team will wear on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25.

“We worked closely with adidas to create an innovative new uniform design for our Christmas Day games,” said Sal LaRocca, the NBA’s executive vice president of global merchandising. “The BIG Logo collection will provide a unique look on court and a variety of products for our fans.”


Reppin’ for adidas in this year’s campaign are some of the NBA’s more colorful characters, including Miami Heat’s LeBron James, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant, the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose, the Houston Rockets’ James Harden, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Steve Nash and the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry. You can catch them get their jingle on in a short TV spot titled “Jingle Hoops,” where the boys hit some festive free throws.

Last year, a similar campaign titled “One-horse Open Sleigh” garnered more than eight million YouTube views.


“Last season’s ‘BIG Color’ holiday campaign was an overwhelming success that grabbed fans’ attention, and we wanted to find a way to top it,” said NBA executive vice president of marketing Jamie Gallo. “This season, we’re back with the game’s biggest stars to deliver an engaging and festive sequence that creatively showcases our players’ skills.”
