They went from the prototypical “boy band” in the mid-1980s to become the definitive male R&B group for a generation. Even after the firing of the kinetic Bobby Brown, the rest of the group would also split apart and enjoy tremendous success with outside projects. But they spent much of their career locked into horrible contracts, and when they reunited in the late 90s, egos and drugs threatened to rip the group apart forever. For over 30 years, these boys from Boston have set the standard–not only for music, but for drama.
