Racist white firefighter slaps black mailman and calls him ‘N-word’

A white firefighter in New York attacked a black mailman and called him the ‘N-word’ during a road rage incident. According to reports, Luke Schreiner, a 17-year veteran of the Fire Department City of New York (FDNY), approached the black mailman on Nov. 16 in Brooklyn.

Schreiner, off-duty at the time, asked the mailman if he wanted to be smacked. He then yelled, “You are a f—- n—-” at the mailman and slapped him in the face.


Schreiner was arrested and police discovered that he was arrested two other times for assault. He was charged with criminal mischief, attempted assault, and a hate crime.

Hate crimes in New York can lead to a 10-year prison term. Schreiner has been suspend by the FDNY.
