The much-anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games picks up where the original left off, with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellar’s triumpant return to their home district after a hard-won battle during the annual 74th Annual Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta, the first victors to share the title, don’t have time to relish in their win with loved ones, however, because they are obligated to tour all 12 districts. While on the tour, the pair pick up rumblings that a revolt may be afoot.
The early chatter indicates that the sequel is even better than the original, which is great news for cinema lovers. Pass the popcorn. –p.d. lee
