Allison Jones admitted Friday in Bronx Criminal Court that she stole drugs including Oxycodone, Dilaudid and other narcotic pain relievers from the emergency department at Jacobi Medical Center on at least three occasions.
She told the court she got the drugs from a secure medical-storage system by entering the name of a patient without the doctor’s permission just before the patient was discharged. According to the office of state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, Jones stole the coke to feed her personal habit.
The 34-year-old nurse has had her license suspended and must undergo drug treatment. While she doesn’t face any time behind bars, she is on probation for three years.
Her attorney declined to comment.
