Congratulations are in order to actress Tia Mowry-Hardict as her sitcom, “Instant Mom,” has just been renewed for a second season on Nickelodeon.

The show about a party girl who instantly becomes mom to three kids when she marries their doctor father has become somewhat of a sleeper hit for the network. Unlike most networks, Nickelodeon heavily focuses on and relies upon the viewership of women and the 18-49 year old demographic, so the 1.2 million viewers “Instant Mom” has managed to pull in weekly is considered a success whereas it would be considered a failure on a mainstream network.

The show, which also co-stars Michael Boatman and Sheryl Lee Ralph, airs on Nickelodeon Sundays at 9:30pm est/8:30pm cst.
