In many people’s eyes, Beyoncé can do absolutely no wrong. However, celebrated Egyptian archeologist Zahai Hawass is NOT one of those people.
The singer and archaeologist had a bit of a run in recently that resulted in “Single Ladies” singer being kicked out of a tour of the pyramids for being rude.
In an interview with The Independent newspaper, Hawass said Bey was late for her scheduled tour of the historic grounds and failed to acknowledge or apologize for her tardiness:
She said she would come at 3p.m. but she came late. I said ‘You have to say I’m sorry I’m late’. But she didn’t open her mouth
Seems Hawass was willing to let the incident go, but the two bumped heads again over their respective photographers’ rights to take picture of the singer visiting the site:
I brought a photographer; she also had a photographer and a guard. When my photographer started to shoot, he said ‘No, Stop! I am the one who says yes or no, not you.’ I said ‘In that case since you almost hit my photographer and you are not polite — out! I am not giving you the privilege of having you on my tour.’
Fortunately, for Beyoncé, there is some good news on the international front. Her “Mrs. Carter World Tour” has grossed over $104 through 59 performances so far, according to Billboard. At that pace she is well on the way to out-grossing her previous tour, “I am…Sasha Fierce,” which grossed just under $120 in 108 shows.
