Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) the top news guy in San Diego, returns to New York via a motorcoach carrying bowling balls and tarantulas, and predictably, the motorcoach flips and chaos ensues. Even when you see the gag coming a mile away, you’ll still split your sides laughing at Burgundy and Co. Burgundy is a hot mess; he sneezes sputum onto the camera’s lense, and is befuddled when he meets the network bigwig, Linda Jackson (Meagan Good), who is black, which he takes note of by blurting “black” repeatedly, but his hair is always camera ready. This is not a guy you want reading the news. Or maybe listening to a blithering idiot would make watching the news less stressful. And probably thanks to the success of the first film, there are lots of A-lister cameos to round out the fun. –p.d. lee
