Actor Paul Walker, 40, sadly lost his life on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 following a fiery car crash on Hercules Street in Santa Clarita, Calif.– just north of Los Angeles. He was the passenger in a red Porsche Carerra GT driven more than 100 mph by business associate and professional race car driver, Roger Rodas, 38.

According to the “County of Los Angeles, Department of Coroner Investigator’s Narrative”, “the driver lost control of his vehicle, and the vehicle partially spun around, and began traveling in a southeast direction. The vehicle then struck a curb, and the driver’s side of the vehicle struck a tree and then a light post. The force of those collisions caused the vehicle to spin 180 degrees and continue in an easterly direction. The passenger side of the vehicle then struck another tree and burst into flames.”

Walker’s body was charred through the skin, none of his organs could be donated, and he had a broken jaw, collarbone, left upper arm, rib and pelvic fractures. He was sitting in the passenger seat in a ‘pugilistic stance,’ which means he was in a defensive position preparing for a crash.

According to his death certificate, he died from “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.”

Rodas, suffered major head trauma, reportedly the “top portion of his skull fractured and his brain exposed.”
