Women accused of robbing man for Jay Z tickets
Two Houston women are in custody after authorities say they stole a man’s Jay Z concert tickets and ran him over with their vehicle. Local 10 reports that Denitra Sherrelle Green and Cessica Desha Darden are accused of scamming a Craigslist seller at a local Starbucks. The male victim, who has yet to be identified, told police that on December 15, 2013 he was contacted by a buyer who wanted to purchase eight concert tickets. The victim agreed to meet with the buyers at a local Starbucks and brought along his girlfriend to make the transaction.
The buyers now identified as Green and Darden told the victim they couldn’t come inside the coffee shop because they had a baby in their vehicle. When the man and his girlfriend went up to the vehicle to speak through the passenger side window, Green, who was driving, accelerated the car and attempted to drive off. The victim got stuck in the window and eventually fell underneath the car and was run over.
Local 10 reports that the man suffered a broken left arm, broken right hand, broken right leg, a torn right knee and severe road rash to his face and body. He may now need plastic surgery for his fingers and could never walk the same as before the incident.
Green, 20, and Darden, 20, were both arrested by authorities who found the silly thieves sitting in the seats from the stolen tickets.
Both are charged with aggravated robbery and have a $30,000 bond.
