The “sperm stealing” Cliffhanger
The show will carry on with the “sperm stealing scene” that ended the 2012 “Being Mary Jane” movie. In the final seconds of the film viewers watched with their mouths agape as Mary Jane gathered the sperm from a used prophylactic after a hookup and carefully stashed it in her freezer for later use.
“I thought we jumped the shark [when I read that scene],” Union told rollingout about the cliffhanger. “This was the moment when I said ‘okay, we’ve lost them.”
“You see how that gets resolved and what it’s really about,” she added about today’s premiere.
