Ever since Kordell Stewart humiliated Porsha Williams with a shocking and high-profile divorce, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has had little in the way of kind and forgiving things to say about her ex-husband. But in a recent interview on “Watch What Happens Live,” Williams seemed to have had a change of heart about Stewart and claimed she’s happy about his rumored flourishing love life.
While chatting with host Andy Cohen, Stewart’s rumored romance with fellow reality star Towanda Braxton was brought up and Williams, surprisingly, spoke positively about the alleged couple, who have been spotted getting cozy around Atlanta.
“I think that’s great! I love Towonda. I watch [her] show and if that works for him, then I’m happy,” Williams said.
Williams also discussed a recent episode of the show in which, during a heated point in her divorce proceedings with Stewart, she contacted him to see if he really wanted to go through with the divorce.
“As you could see, that was a very sensitive time for everybody. It was so emotional and I was in the middle of the divorce at that moment and I hadn’t spoken to him at all,” she explained.
“It felt like the attorneys were in between us and I hadn’t gotten a chance to actually talk to him, so me wanting to make sure I did everything I could before I left the marriage, I decided to just put on my big girl panties and reach out and try to contact him,” she added.
Williams explained that, since the season began, she’s spoken to Stewart a few time before their divorce was finalized. Cohen asked Williams how Stewart feels about her accusation that he was controlling and secretly gay, and Williams explained that Stewart gets to share his own side of the story on upcoming episodes of the show.
“I expressed myself on the show. He came back on the show — which he said he would never do — and he expressed himself and that’s good for him because that way he can get it out and we can kind of move on from it,” she explained.
We’re shocked that Williams spoke so calmly and kindly about Stewart. Perhaps she’s finally made peace with him — or perhaps she’s just fearful of Stewart taking legal action against her.
