Fans attending the upcoming Super Bowl weekend festivities in New York City and New Jersey just got an additional must do for the weekend.
Rap God Jay Z is taking time away from his Magna Carta Holy Grail tour to headline DirectTV’s invite only Super Bowl weekend party on Feburary 1st, the eve of the big game.
Last year Jay Z was a special surprise guest during Justin Timberlake’s performance. Now the streets are buzzing with the rumor that wife Beyoncé just may be Hov’s special guest. If this turns out to be the case, then those in the know are not surprisingly keeping it under wraps. When pressed for more info on the rumor, a rep for DirectTV told Billboard Magazine that they have “no comment on the rumors.”
DirectTV’s SuperFan Stadium at the Hudson River Park Pier 40 will be the venue for the party, with NY Giants quarterback Eli Manning and Dallas Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban serving at the hosts for the evening.
