Wendy Williams tearfully claims her teen son doesn’t like her anymore

Wendy Williams has never been shy about the joy and pride she takes in being a mother to her 13-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr. But on Monday’s episode of her daytime talk show, the proud mother broke down in tears as she compared her relationship with Kevin to Madonna’s with her son. She explained that Rocco doesn’t like her anymore.

The shockingly emotional moment came during the “Hot Topics” segment, while Williams was discussing last week’s controversy with Madonna and her son, Rocco, in which Madonna posted a photo of Rocco boxing with the racist caption “Mama said knock you out! #disn*gga.”

Although it seemed that Williams would give a critique about Madonna using the N-word, instead she quickly began sobbing and confessed to her millions of fans that her son is now a typical teenage boy who doesn’t want to hang with his mother anymore.

“Rocco’s 13-years-old and Rocco is a real fan of his mother,” said Williams, before breaking into tears. “What I discovered this weekend is that my son doesn’t like me anymore. You know how it is, I know what it is … Kevin, I discovered this a while ago, but the ball just got smacked home this weekend.”

Clearly distraught, Williams continued to explain her heartbreak over this new phase in her relationship with her son.

“You know, he’s all into his father, you know how 13-year-olds are, I was the same way when I was 13, but it is breaking my heart,” Williams said.

“He’s the one who’s 13 and I get it. I know that this phase only lasts for four years, or something like that, but it is breaking my heart. He doesn’t care about Wendy on TV, he doesn’t care about any of that. Anyways, she’s (Madonna) lucky that he likes her.”

Hopefully, as is the case with most teens, eventually he’ll understand to appreciate his mother just as much as he does his father. Although Williams had kind words to say about Madonna’s cool relationship with her son, she did eventually go on to address the pop icon’s use of the n-word.
