Eddie Murphy threatens comedian for allegedly claiming to be his son

It’s safe to say that every amateur in the business wants to be just like the greats. But in the case of comedy legend Eddie Murphy, at least according to him, one young comedian is taking things too far and is claiming to be his son.

According to TMZ, Murphy’s lawyer has sent several threatening letters to young comedian Brando Murphy, claiming that the man has done everything but declare that he’s somehow the son of the legendary Murphy.

In one letter obtained by the site, Murphy’s lawyer claims that Brando changed his last name to match Murphy’s, that Brando performed with Richard Pryor’s son, Mason, in the “Sons Of Comedy” tour, and has allegedly appeared at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Eddie frequents and screaming, “My father won’t talk to me!”

However, Brando isn’t taking the threats lightly and he’s reportedly fired back at Murphy with a threatening letter of his own, denying Murphy’s claims and calling them “vile, base, contemptible, miserable, wretched and loathsome.”

Brando has warned Murphy that if he continues with his “campaign of intimidation,” he’ll sue him for all of his accusations.

Clearly, this case is far from over but Murphy certainly isn’t the only star that’s been in this situation. Check out some other major paternity scandals below. – nicholas robinson
