Kanye West
No other artist has been both snubbed and loved by the Grammys more than Kanye West. Though he’s won more than 20 Grammys, he’s publicly bashed the Grammys for snubbing him several times in major categories outside of rap. Kanye lost Best New Artist to Maroon 5 as well as Album of The Year to Ray Charles in 2005. After several more snubs, his biggest one to date came in 2011 when his chart-topping and critically-acclaimed My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album wasn’t even nominated for Album of the Year. Kanye’s latest album, Yeezus, also failed to garner a nomination in that same category and he recently claimed that he’s never won in a category where he had to compete with a white artist.
