Want to be rewarded for all your hard work in the gym?
FitStudio.com, which is owned by Sears, is offering a new incentive: “Points for Progress,” a fitness rewards program that encourages members to incorporate movement into their daily lives to get and stay fit. By registering for FitStudio.com, connecting a fitness app or device, and tracking activity, members earn Shop Your Way points that can be redeemed for merchandise in stores and online at Sears and Kmart.
Shop Your Way members who are registered users of Fit Studio earn Shop Your Way points when they complete a qualifying activity as described in the activity description. The amount of points available for completing a qualifying activity varies. FitStudio believes that making small changes like taking the stairs or parking farther away from the store can lead to big results, and members are rewarded for all types of activity. As part of the #FitIn14 challenge, members will earn $5 in points equivalent to 5,000 points for every 14 miles walked or ran in 2014.
“To promote and reward healthy behaviors, we integrated our successful fitness community, FitStudio.com, with the popular Shop Your Way program to give our members the resources and incentives they need to get moving and stay fit,” said Hugo Malan, senior vice president and president, fitness, sporting goods and toys at Sears Holdings. “We know this is the time of year that people put fitness first and as a leading fitness retailer, we are committed to helping our members lead happier and healthier lives.”
FitStudio is a free online fitness community that features exercises, workouts, programs, and articles on fitness and nutrition. Everyone can register for FitStudio.com for free and automatically become a Shop Your Way member. To join the “Points for Progress” program, members simply get active and start earning Shop Your Way points by syncing select fitness apps and devices to track fitness activity on FitStudio.com, including FitBit, MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun, and Netpulse-enabled fitness equipment that’s available in over 500 gyms across the U.S. and Canada.
