Is Jasper, Texas, off the NAACP’s grid?

When attempting to do research on the Alfred Wright murder case, numerous discoveries were made. The most surprising of which is that the known official website for the NAACP in Texas was advertising juicers and vaporizers.  The website www.texasnaacp.org has nothing to do with the organization. The original website was created on September 24, 1999 and as of January 15, 2014 the owner is now located in Manitoba, Canada.  When called, the national NAACP organization apparently did not have a correct number for the Jasper, TX chapter and had to ultimately refer to the national media office. The representative for the national media office answered via cellphone but was out of the office at the moment.

Many black people in America still look to the NAACP for guidance at times of crisis for information but there was none available. At the time of this writing, the national website for the NAACP, https://www.naacp.org/,makes no mention of the Alfred Wright murder or Jasper, TX.
