During Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Cynthia Bailey seemed intent on proving to Kandi Burruss that she was the aggressor in the squabble between the two women, their men and Bailey’s sister Malorie. Although Bailey and Burruss both hesitantly apologized to each other, Bailey now seems more genuinely apologetic. She recently admitted her fault in the fight in a new Bravo Blog post.
In her new blog, Bailey admits that she helped to stir the pot by telling Burruss that Christopher Williams’ wife, Natalie, claimed Burruss’ fiancé, Todd Tucker, is an opportunist.
“I admit that it was a little ‘messy boots’ for me to tell the ladies about my conversation with Natalie and the whole Todd opportunist thing. In Natalie’s defense, I don’t remember if she ever said the word opportunist, but I felt like it was implied. She actually had a lot of very nice things to say about Todd as well, but I guess the negative will always outweigh the positive,” Bailey said.
Bailey says that she thought Burruss wouldn’t care about Natalie’s comments, but when things blew up at NeNe Leakes’ “Pillow Talk” party she was utterly shocked. However, she now says she understands why Burruss was so angry with her and Peter.
“In hindsight, I guess I was too much in her personal space. It didn’t feel like it to me at the time, but looking back at it all, I guess I was. We both talk with our hands and I didn’t realize at the time that I was using mine any more than she was using hers. I also did not feel that when Peter walked up and asked what was going on that he was necessarily aggressive. I do know that anytime a man is addressing a woman (and it’s not all fun and giggles), it never really looks right,” Bailey said.
But Bailey wasn’t the only one who played a role in the blowup. Her sister, Malorie Bailey-Massie, nearly came to blows with Burruss. Although Bailey once defended her sister’s actions, she’s now changed her tune a bit about how things went down. Check out what she had to say about Malorie hitting Burruss below. – nicholas robinson
