Although NBC canceled her show, “Deception,” last fall, the network still believes in Meagan Good’s star power. So much so, that she has been cast in another leading role for a new series called “Babylon Fields,” written and directed by Gerald Cuesta and Michael Cuesta.

According to NBC, the series, “Centers on the dead rising again in Babylon, N.Y., where lives are regained, old wounds are reopened and familie are restored — for better or worse. The newly regenerated bodies are healing faster and growing stronger, prompting discussion that this might be the next step in human evolution.”

Good will play a local doctor named Janine Beltran, who we assume will aid Babylonians in their recovery. Will Good be able to step out of her comfort zone for this new sci-fi thriller or find herself back at the drawing board? Stay tuned …
